Mokokchung, July 24 (MExN): On receiving a written assurance from the Executive Engineer (EE), PHED Mokokchung division asking for a month’s time to ensure proper water supply to the registered water consumers in the town, the Mokokchung Town Lanur Telongjem (MTLT) has decided to ‘wait and watch’`till the end of August for the department to deliver on its assurance.
A press release from the MTLT informed that the EE, PHED Mokokchung division, Yanger Pongen, in his letter, stated that “the department will complete all repair works of the existing water supply system of Mokokchung town and resume water supply of available water to all registered consumers within a month’s time.” The MTLT had issued an ultimatum to the PHED on June 9, categorically demanding that it provide adequate and potable supply of drinking water to subscribers in the town.
