DIMAPUR, DEC 21 (MExN): Speaking to reporters on his arrival at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, NSCN (IM) General Secretary Th. Muivah when asked whether they were looking for a solution within the Indian federal system, or are outside the federal system, clearly responded that they have committed that a federation must be there, but a federation of India and Nagalim, not a federation within Indian federation.
On the negotiation front, Muivah pointed out that it will not be very easy for the Government of India to say yes to its demands and that likewise, it will not be possible for the NSCN (IM) to say yes to the Government of India. “But it must be understood that Naga history is unique and our right is unique, we will base on that. Stand on that line alone so that a solution can be brought about”, Muivah told waiting journalists.
