Multi-media exhibition at 25th Hornbill Festival

Kisama, December 5 (MExN): On day 4 of the 10-day-long multi-media exhibition organised by Central Bureau of Communication (CBC), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, at 25th Hornbill Festival in Kisama, a significant turnout of attendees from across India and local tribal communities marked the occasion with great enthusiasm. 

An update from PIB stated that the exhibition, hosted by the Field Office Kohima, brought together vibrant displays of government schemes, cultural themes, and interactive events, creating a unique platform for learning and engagement.

A large number of visitors, including members of the Kuki and Zeliang tribes, turned out to witness and participate in the exhibition's diverse activities. Dressed in their traditional, colorful attire, they brought an extra layer of vibrancy to the event, reflecting the region’s rich cultural diversity. In addition to enjoying the exhibits, many attendees eagerly participated in a quiz competition focused on various government schemes. All of them took part in spontaneous performances, showcasing their talent and earning prizes for their spirited involvement.

The event received a special visit from K Satish Nambudiripad, Director General, North East Zone, during his three-day official visit to Kohima. On the first day of his visit, Nambudiripad toured the exhibition and expressed his admiration for the thematic displays, which highlighted various developmental initiatives and welfare schemes for the people of the Northeast. He commended the efforts of the CBC in promoting awareness and fostering a sense of participation among local communities.
The multi-media exhibition will remain open throughout the Hornbill Festival.
