Multi-skills assessment team for health workers in Tuensang

Dimapur, March 9 (MExN): An assessment team from Christian Institute of Health Sciences & Research (CIHSR) Dimapur including Dr. Tanya Seshadri, Dr. Viu Meru, consultant community health and Dr. Atsung Aier visited Tuensang on Wednesday.
The assessment has been an initiative by the Department of Health and Family Welfare, GoN assigning CIHSR to do a ‘Training Need Assessment’ of the government doctors at various levels in the state, stated a press note.
The note stated that the CIHSR team has embarked on the assessment exercise of the Medical Officers at various levels in the 11 districts of Nagaland.
Starting their journey from Dimapur, the team visited Peren, Phek, Zunheboto, Wokha and Kiphire before coming to Tuensang.  Basing on questionnaires given to Medical Officers (MOs) and health workers all over the district, the team plan to structure a training course suiting the immediate and vital needs in the health sector. The team would be heading for Mokokchung and Longleng for the next leg of their assessment, the press note said.
