DIMAPUR, Nov 25 (MExN): For an agreement of a measly ten thousand rupees, an auto rickshaw driver was killed on November 17. The murderers and the person who offered the ‘supari’ are now in Police custody. According to Police, Atoho Kapo of Ghotovi Village offered Rs 10,000 to Lop Marak and Rajesh Gurung to kill Sanjay Rao after which they were told to produce the auto rickshaw before him. East Police Personnel led by SDPO Nuiland today arrested all of the three. The rickshaw bearing registration number NL01-T 4127 belongs to Md. Kanayi.
The victim who was stoned to death was residing at Railway Colony, Dimapur. Police recovered the body of the deceased in a decomposed state early this morning near a riverbank five kms from Ghotovi village, Nuiland. The body was handed over to family members late this evening. Case No. 164/5 VT 392/302/34/ under the IPC has been registered at the East Police Station. The stolen vehicle has also been recovered.
