In a very welcoming note, a group of people based in Kohima are initiating the ‘Musicians Fellowship’ with the “objective is to bring musicians closer to the church and encourage them to use their gift to glorify God.”
‘Musicians Fellowship’ is the brain child of Melekhoto, proprietor, Symphony School of Music. Along with him, the core team members include Jonathan Lushai, Khrievi, Seyievinuo Chuzho, Kosapong, Litina Ayeh, Dieze Sothu, Vikhrie Pucho and Yevesa Phesao.
“The main objective is to connect musicians back to the Church because we noticed that many good musicians are outside of the church and through this initiative we want to connect them back. We plan to organize this every last Sunday of the month and also plan to invite youth leaders and pastors to come and participate too,” the team shared with The Morung Express.
The first fellowship will be held at Symphony Café, opposite Oking Hospital, Kohima on February 28 at 3:00 pm.
The fellowship which is “open to all musicians” will have praise and worship, special songs by Mengu Soukhrie and Virie, instrumental by Visietso Yhoshu, testimony by Gugu Sekhoshe and message by Temjen Sempo, Pastor, Kohima Ao Baptist Church.
The fellowship will be held every last Sunday of the month.
“We also hope that other district towns in Nagaland will be able to organize this kind of fellowships for musicians in future,” the team added.
