As Nagaland government gears up for the Hornbill Festival at Kisama, Kohima, a group of young artists and musicians under the Musik-A Events in collaboration with Beta 3 has announced a three-day MUSIK-A FESTIVAL at Nagaland Bamboo Resource Centre, Sovima 6th Mile, Dimapur from December 7 to 9.
Announcing the MUSIK-A FESTIVAL during a press conference at Nagaland Coffee, Dimapur on Monday, Alobo Naga and his team said that Dimapur is missing out from the excitement of the Hornbill Festival and therefore, Musik-A Events, the organisers of Thuwuni Festival, December Fest, Dimapur Festival and many other festivals is back ‘with a new festival this December.’
The MUSIK-A FESTIVAL desires to be a support system created by artistes for the artistes and content creators to support each other. “Community support is so important,” Alobo said.
While stating, “We are not against the government but we want to be self- reliant,” Alobo said, “...There is nothing wrong in taking help from others but it delays the project. We cannot keep waiting for others.” He added that in Nagaland it is very difficult to get appreciation and support. Therefore, through the festival, the organisers hope to bring young people from various talents pools and “create the support system” for each other. “This is the beginning,” he asserted.
WHAT IS HAPPENING?
Day 1 (December 7): First Nagaland Youtuber Meet
Proven as another ‘career option’, many Naga youths have ventured into YouTube as content creators. Inorder to encourage and bring such talents, Youtubers from across North East will come and celebrate the day together, make vlog and meet their fans.
“Inglish Maker, Kents Vlog, Aseno Ayemi, Sunep Lemtur, Yatra Kid, Agu Kath, Afrikan Amakishiu, Mr Smile, Lolo Ezung and many more will be there to meet their Youtube family members... Subscribers will get chance to meet and greet all their favourite youtubers in one place,” the organisers informed.
Case Construction Presents Dance Battle
“There are many talented dancers across NE and lately we see an enormous growth of dancers but unfortunately there has not been enough platforms to showcase their talents. Inorder to support the dancers, MUSIK-A is organizing a dance battle which is open to all dancers irrespective of style, genre, gender etc,” they announced.
For the dance battle there will be a video audition. According to the rules and regulations, the video of the participants should not less than 1 minute and not more than 1:59 minutes; there should be no Cuts or edits in the video; the video should be in landscape mode with enough lightning; Open dance competition: Solo and crews are both welcome. Selected dancers will compete at the final dance off on December 7.
Day 2 (December 8): Clinical SPA Presents Beatbox Battle
The art of Beatboxing (also beat boxing or boxing) is very popular among the youth today. In order to encourage the talents, MUSIK-A is organising this battle on the second day.

Beta 3 presents Battle of the Bands
In order to encourage bands and rock lovers, ‘Battle of the Bands’ will be part of the MUSIK-A FESTIVAL. The audition will be held on December 5 at MUSIK-A School, Diphupar and the selected bands will perform at the finale on December 8. To participate bands can contact @ +91 7005290737
DAY 3 (December 9): International EDM Nite
On the third night, MUSIK-A FESTIVAL will host the International EDM Nite where Kira Amber, one of the top female DJs in Ukraine will be the headlining act.
Kira Amber has made her presence mark in the industry with her great stage presence and amazing music. Her music has travelled to many countries in the world. Her energetic beats compel the laziest in the room to hit the dance floor.
Some of the artistes line up include Dj Aloza, Dj Noel Zoek, DJ Boka from Nagaland and Dj Rhon from Bangalore.
