MUSIK-A’s Winter Recital

On December 12, NEZCC Amphitheatre was filled with families, friends, well-wishers & music lovers to witness the first winter recital of Musik-A (Alobo Naga School of music). One of the attractions of the night was the 45 member children choir aged 4-12 performing songs from Andrew Llyod Webber's Les miserables, Whistle in the wind, etc. Later joined the senior choir and the whole cast for the famous rendition of “Don’t stop believing” from GLEE in the 60 minutes recital. It comprised music from baroque, classical to contemporary era.   MUSIK-A’s Winter Recital 2     Guest artistes like Asin Shurhozelie, Colored keys, Aloke Yepthomi shared the stage with the students performing songs from The Phantom of the opera, Glee, les miserable and latest songs from Adele, Sam Smith, Chain Smokers etc. along with Guitar ensemble, drum ensemble & piano recitals.   MUSIK-A’s Winter Recital 3     Earlier Robert Longkumer, Pastor from Kids worship centre blessed the occasion and Gugs Chishi, Director MTF did the exhortation. It may be mentioned that Musik-A school is barely 6 months old with almost 100 students, prepared for this show in a little more than a month.

Some of the reviews from the audiences:

"It was a home away from home for me. Never imagined in one of the remotest part of the world i would actually get to attend a musical play and hear Songs from Andrew Llyod Webber and Miserables. I wish to visit Musik A one day. Very impressive." -Raymond Pagnucco a visitor from the US.   “Flawless” the whole production & programme flow was smooth & very entertaining. Enjoyed myself thoroughly. Wouldn’t expect less from the one & only Alobo Naga” –Atsa Lang Roths, Musician   "Barely 6 months old and been able to put up a show like that is very impressive. Very professionally done. Glad it started later than the scheduled time as it wasn't long plus with the goods lights it made the show grand and rich. For a while we felt we were in some other countries. Hoping to see more performance in the future." –Susan Lotha
