As part of the publicity campaign to create public awareness regarding 'Income Tax Obligations' of people In the regions through hoardings, standees and video clips, the Income Tax Department, North Eastern Region, on Friday released a video here at Hotel Acacia on Friday afternoon.
The video ‘My Name…Not for Sale’, produced by the Department of Income Tax in collaboration with Dreamz Unlimited Dimapur, aims to create awareness regarding the obligations of the general public, especially the exempted tribals of the region not to indulge in Bemani Transactions by lending their names to other non-exempt categories of people to open business leading to evasion of Income tax and also the consequential penal actions for indulging in such practices.
The video was released by Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Range- Dimapur, Imokaba Jamir, IRS, in presence of Tax Bar Association, Director and cast of Dreamt Unlimited along with officials of Income Tax Department, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and others.
