Myanmar junta’s actions violation of Int'l Law & Human Rights: NNC (Parent Body)

Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The Naga National Council (Parent Body) while condemning the “illegal Military Junta Government of Burma (Myanmar)” for their ruthless action of burning down churches in Chin state termed it as a “serious threat to the Christian community in Burma and towards all Christians and Christianity as a religion.”

Such acts are completely in violation of International Law and Human Rights, the NNC (Parent Body) Information & Publicity Wing said in statement on Sunday.

Calling upon every Christian and also everyone with a clear and right conscience to strongly condemn and take necessary punitive action against the Military Junta of Myanmar, it said that “this is not the first time but many such incidences have occurred even in the past against the Christian community.”

It also appealed to all the Christians to pray for the protection of fellow believers to overcome such harsh actions of the Military Junta. The NNC (Parent Body) fully support the legitimate movement of democracy in Myanmar for victory, the statement read.
