KOHIMA, APRIL 11 (MExN): A one day mentoring on NAAC Assessment & Accreditation was jointly organised by Kohima Science College, Jotsoma and Kohima College, Kohima on April 9 at Kohima Science College, Jotsoma.

The programme was chaired by Sungjeminla, Asst Coordinator IQAC, KCK. In her introductory speech, she highlighted the main objective of NAAC which is to assess and accredit universities and institutions of higher learning to generate quality in education by encouraging and promoting proactive quality culture. 

As per the directive given to the accredited colleges by the Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland to mentor the non-accredited colleges, KSCJ and KCK jointly organised this programme with their mentee colleges.

These colleges include Don Bosco College Kohima, Capital College of Higher Education Kohima, Baptist College Kohima. St Xavier’s College Jalukie, College of Arts and Technology Nerhe Phezha and Peren Government College. 

The main speaker, Dr. Seyiekhrielie Whiso, Coordinator IQAC, KSCJ gave a talk on the ‘7 Criterias and Key Aspects’.

He highlighted all the important indicators while also sharing the experiences of the college and some helpful tips. Jarani Mao, Coordinator IQAC, DBCK shared on the topic ‘Process of Assessment (Our Journey)’, which was followed by a Q&A session. 

The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Konei Nakhro, Asst Coordinator, IQAC, KCK. The programme ended with a visit to various facilities of the college.
