KHONOMA, JANNUARY 2 (MExN): General Manager, NABARD Nagaland Regional Office, Pauliankap Bulte inaugurated the Khonoma Women Rural Haat on December 19, 2024 at Khonoma village. The project is being implemented by the Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary Trust (KNCTS).
The Khonoma Women Rural Haat is located near the main entrance gate of Khonoma village and is constructed on the land donated by the Khonoma Women Union. The projects aims to provide a marketing platform for the women of Khonoma village to sell their agricultural, horticultural, floriculture and livestock produce.
The Rural Haat is equipped with various essential facilities,including a storage room, office space, sanitary and drinking water facilities.In addition, asouvenir shophas been established within the Rural Haat, to cater to the tourists,offering unique local products that highlight the rich culture and craftsmanship of Khonoma village.
