
GPRN/NSCN President unfurls national flag
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 14 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN celebrated the 66th Naga Independence Day at its council headquarters; Khehoi designated camp on the 14th of August, 2012, with his Excellency, the President, Gen. (Retd) Kholi Konyak as the chief guest.
Speaking at the occasion, the President said that, without unification of all Nagas under one political platform, no permanent solution to the vexed Indo-Naga political problem can be settled.
The Ato Kilonser N. Kitovi Zhimomi also made a short speech to the gathering. The Envoy to the collective leadership, Alezo Venuh briefed the gathering on the present Indo-Naga political scenario.
Other highlights of the program included, hoisting of the National flag by the chief guest, military parade by various Naga Army contingents, Presentation, special songs and Independence Day feast.
The Celebration was attended by all rank and files of both Army and civil set-up and other dignitaries. The moderator and recorder of the program were Mr. Amento V. Chophi, and Mr. Rhozutho, Under Secretaries, GPRN/NSCN.
NNC (NA) observes I-Day
DIMAPUR, AUGUST 14 (MExN): The NNC (NA) observed the 66th Naga Independence Day somewhere around Dimapur. Hozheto Chophy, General Secretary graced the function as the Chief Guest. This was informed in a press note issued by K. Sumi MIP. A large number of workers along with their family members attended the function. The programme concluded with a independence day feast.
