Dimapur, May 15 (MExN): Naga  groups have greeted the people on the occasion of the “national plebiscite” day held on May 16, 1951. The NNCs under the leadership of Senka Yaden and the other under the leadership of Adinno Phizo have both sent their solidarity messages. London-based president of the Naga National Council Adinno Phizo expressed gratitude to the Almighty  for sustaining the Naga people to remain sanguine despite of nearly sixty years of resisting enemy’s aggression. “Together let us humbly pray for wisdom and strength in pursuing the just cause of Nagaland that the truth prevail in God’s own time”, stated the NNC president. In a separate message, Senka Yaden recalled that “national workers” and student volunteers walked to every village and collected plebiscite papers with finger impressions for record and reproduction of every Naga aged 15 and above irrespective of gender. The NNC president who is based in Tyler, Texas USA, called for honoring the past and to “aspire for that one dream, one future for all Nagas united in the spirit of the Naga national plebiscite day - May 16, 1951”.
