“As public organization representing different generations, we have been patiently reading your farfetched tales from time to time and on no occasion we have ever responded or countered you, as we thought as responsible citizens striving for peace and harmony we should maintain a quiet dignity and bear it all in good spirit”, stated the open letter. Pointing out that “all of us are involved for a cause ie- the Naga cause for so many years”, the open letter stated that “its time we forget our petty self-centeredness and be big hearted enough to accept each others views and even mistakes”. “There is a bigger world beyond the four walls of our Naga country and how can we make a breakthrough when we think only of vested interest. We would like to remind you that when you point one finger at others the rest of the four are pointing back at you”, the open letter stated.
Stating that it respected and salute every Naga national workers irrespective of groups who have died and suffered in the hands of occupational forces and those who are continuing to struggle for the liberty of Naga homeland despite all odds, however the open letter expressed “regret to say that the Naga people will find it hard to recognize you as true Naga nationalist with your kind of utterances and anti Naga mindset making the very fragile reconciliation and peace process unattainable”.
“Our struggles as peoples organization/ civil societies are nothing compared to the Naga National workers but we believe that we have a significant role to play and therefore labeling your own fellow Naga brethrens as “JIHADIS” paid to work for the Naga cause has cheapened our sincere efforts to bring all the Nagas under one roof irrespective of landmarks and boundaries”, the Naga Hoho and NSF open letter stated.
“With your kind of approach and attitude we may but conclude that under any circumstances if any harm may befall to any civil society members, the Nagas will hold you sole responsible in this regard”, the open letter further stated.
“With your qualities and capability”, the open letter advised Mulatonu “to be a worthy gentleman and be a contributing factor towards achieving our long cherish goal of a united Naga family and to shy away from uprooting the seed of reconciliation which has been painstakingly sown”. “Further, please uphold the spirit of inclusiveness to make your Government a Government of the people and safeguard the security of your citizens”, the open letter stated in conclusion.
