DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 13 (MExN): Another consultative meeting of the Naga Hoho with various Tribal Representatives was held today at Hotel Vivor, Kohima. Among the resolutions made included the decision to form a Naga Hoho Sub-Committee on peace with the following persons as Committee members: (1) P.Chuba Ozukum, General Secretary, Naga Hoho (Convenor) (2) Yansathung Jami, President, Kyong Hoho (Co-Convenor) (3) Yesonu Veyie, Chakhesang Public Organization (4) Sowathang Kezseb, President, Rengma Hoho (5) Elu Ndang, Zeliangrong Baudi (6) L.Youdang Jamir, Ao Senden (7) Kenyuseng Tep, Assembly Secretary, Naga Hoho.
A press note from Naga Hoho General Secretary P. Chuba Ozukum informed that the re-occurrence of apparent communal tension between the Angamis and Sumis over the Press statements of the two communities was deliberated and the house decided to form the sub-committee.
Most importantly, the Naga Hoho earnestly appealed to various writers not to dwell on the communal prejudices which may create hatred among the fellow Nagas.
Side by side, the Naga Hoho sincerely appealed to the Media not to accept/ publish unpolished articles which are anti-communal in nature. Further, the Naga Hoho appealed to every peace loving citizen not to commit cyber-crime using face book, MMS and SMS as it badly damages the feeling of oneness and creates more divisions among different communities.
The Naga Hoho also expressed its heartfelt appreciation to the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas for bringing out its final Modality which it stated was the long felt desire of the Naga people.
