The ‘Peace Committee’ formed by Naga Hoho is felt to be formed at inappropriate time as there has not been a single press release from both the sides for at least four days or any physical confrontation except on the 1st Sept. By forming this committee, it is felt that the Naga Hoho does not wish this issue to die down from the memory of affected communities when the apex bodies concerned have stopped citing this issue.
What is the meaning of having peace committee when peace is being observed? Why is Naga Hoho digging out the skeleton out of cupboard when two communities are restraining from making saying anything for the sake of peace? Why wasn’t this committee formed when it was needed? Why now? Such action is felt as intention to bring out more problems than solve it. Only dogs lick their wound and either aggravates or prolong the time for the wound to heal. If Naga Hoho felt the need of having this Committee, they should have announced so only if there was any further communal tension between the two parties/tribes. It is quiet clear that this is committee formed to mask the Hoho’s inability to answer Sumi Hoho’s question on why Naga Hoho has felt so disturbed at the damage of property over the precious lives lost? A clear intention of Naga Hoho being one sided on 1st Sept. issue and ignoring the most important issue of the shooters, murderers and killers who injured many and killed one? Is Naga Hoho so ignorant to understand that God and humanity value human life as very precious than man made objects? If this is how Naga Hoho understands justice, I am ashamed to call myself a Naga.
However, I agree with the Naga Hoho that the writers should stop writing about this issue as it is only adding fuel to fire.
