Naga Political issue involves all Nagas: It is an issue beyond artificial Nagaland state border

Rev Azahto Kiba

It is high time for our respected veteran politician, SC Jamir to wash his hands from Naga politics. He should not be poking his nose in an issue where he failed in the past.

Because of failed honourable solution in the past, we had a long struggle with Indian government to accept our historical rights, and right now with conclusive solution in the horizon, I request the old respected veteran politician, to leave it to others. Stay home and spend time with your grand children. Know when your time is over. Attend to your family affairs.

High time to rest uncle SC Jamir… Sly Indian leaders involving you or any opportunist, to hammer the talks hurriedly, without element of honourable and inclusiveness of all Nagas, is because of ulterior motive to hijack Naga Talk for personal benefit. Nagas beyond borders have equally sacrificed thousands of life.

Naga talk is not your Personal family or kitchen issue; it involves all Nagas beyond the artificially created Nagaland State Border.

So, leaders hammering the Solution keep this in mind. You will be honoured or judged by future generations. Let it be honourable and inclusive for all Nagas beyond the artificially Indian (& Myanmar) created boundaries.

Nagas beyond border are all stakeholders. Kuknalim!!!

This post is not in favour of any Naga Political group, be it 7NNPG or IM.

For ministry purpose, I have walked 1, 2, 3 days by foot many at times, to Naga inhabited area of Myanmar side before it became motorable by bike in recent times, I have seen their hardship and heard their stories told with tears on their eyes.

They sheltered our Naga National workers when Indian armies were hunting them down - be it Phizo, Gen Kaito, Gen Mowu, present National workers from IM or 7 NNPG and so on. For this reason, some villages were burned down 13 times, 5 times, 3 times and so on.

The simple reason was they believe in our common Naga aspiration. Their request when we met them was for us to not forget their sacrifices.

Now, we shouldn't be ungrateful to forget our Naga brothers and sisters in Myanmar side and other places of Naga inhabited area, who have been tortured, raped and killed for our Naga National cause. Muivah or anyone is of the least interest to me. Naga's common aspiration, inclusiveness and honourable solution are what is important for lasting peace.
