DIMAPUR, JUNE 21 (MExN): A woman hailing from Nagaland was found dead at her residence in Mumbai on June 20. The deceased identified as Sara Yanthan, aged 26 years was found hanging from a fan in a rented flat in Khar Danda. She was working as a makeup artist in films, television and web series in Mumbai.
According to reports from news agencies, since Sunday morning, Sara was not responding to anyone’s calls. When the agent went to her house again on Monday, he became suspicious and immediately informed the police about the incident.
The deceased was found hanging from the fan in the bedroom when the Khar police broke down the door on Monday night. Police also found injuries on both her hands, the reports said.
The police contacted the deceased’s mother, who lives in Nagaland. She came to Mumbai on Tuesday. After conducting a post-mortem at Cooper Hospital, the body was handed over to her mother. With suspicion of foul play, Khar Police and crime branch are said to be investigating the case.
