Naga wrestling coaching for non-wrestling community underway in Kohima

The Naga wrestling basics demonstration and coaching for non-wrestling communities got underway today at L. Khel Indoor Stadium, Kohima village under the aegis of 3E Nagaland

The programme commenced with a prayer by Vivor Miachieo while the resource person and chief instructor for the inaugural session was Kezhalelie Keretsü,  former (Nagaland Wrestling Association) NWA champion.

Starting from Monday (August 15), prominent Angami wrestler Khriekethotuo will conduct the coaching till weekend. 

This coaching has been initiated especially for wrestlers who belong to other communities other than Angami, Chakhesang & Zeliang tribes and any interested person can contact 3E Nagaland.

Basics demonstration right from belt binding and left or right holding orientation to common as well as advanced tactics are being incorporated in the programme.

For the benefit of everyone and to popularize Naga wrestling, the whole programme is being videotaped and will be uploaded on 3E Nagaland Youtube channel.
