Naga Youths Need to Learn a Lesson from the Life of Samson

Nagaland is one of the states in India which has the highest percentage of Christian. There are thousands of Christian institutions in Nagaland. The primary purpose of opening Christian institution is to educate the children in Christian environment, to build up each student in Christian life to produce boys and girls Christ like. There are thousands of the Churches in Nagaland each Church has its Christian education department. The primary purpose of opening Christian education department in the Church is to help the Christian children to carry out the commandment of Jesus. It helps and gives training to the children and young people to develop Christian personalities.

In spite of having thousands of Christian institutions and imparting Christian education in the Churches in Nagaland, many Naga youths are walking in the path of wicked which is prohibits in the Bible and spoiling their lives  and tarnishing the image of “Nagaland for Christ”.

Some of the major Christian challenges prevailing in our society are Sexual Relation, Pornography, Rape sexual harassment, Gambling, Alcoholism, Aids, Drug Addiction, Suicide, killing and murder, Frustration. Many Naga Christian youths` life are spoiling and butchering by the above challenges.

Therefore, Naga youths need to learn a lesson from the life of Samson. (Judges, 13:1-24).  Samson was the son of Manoah Zorah from the clan of Danites whose wife was barren. Angel appeared to the mother of Samson and said, “you are sterile but you are going to conceive and have son, and told her not to drink wine and or other fermented drink and unclean food, also told her no razor to be used on his head, because he will be the deliverance of Israel from the hands of the Philistines”. It was fulfilled and she gave birth to a boy and name Samson. He grew and the Lord blessed him. And the sprit of the Lord began to move on him. This is beginning of the Samson life. His name Samson means “Sunny”. Samson life begins with bright. Initially he did bring sunshine to his home and to the people of Israel, but ended in the darkness. Samson was dedicated to the Lord. His life was influence by spiritual life, because he was born in godly home but he rejected. Samson began his ministry blessed by the Lord and closed his life mocked by heathen crowd. Samson decision was opposed by his parents. But he refused the will of his parents and the will of God of Israel.  Like Samson, Naga youths are born in Christian family, brought up in Christian environment, Like Samson many Naga youths are refusing to live in the will of their parents and God and ending their lives with mocking and humiliation.

Therefore, learning a lesson from the life of Samson and shunning the path of Samson and living in the will of Parents and God  is the only way for Naga youths to overcome the above Christian challenges and escape from the ending the life with mocking and humiliation. In conclusion, I request all the young readers of this article not only reader but put into practice for your bright future.
