Nagaland: 15-17 age group to get Covaxin from January 3

The much awaited vaccine Covaxin for children aged between 15-17 years against Coronavirus has finally reached the state of Nagaland on January 1. The state has received 1,43000 doses. 

Informing this to The Morung Express, State Immunization Officer, Dr Ritu Thurr said the vaccine will be rolled out from January 3, Monday covering Kohima and Dimapur in the first phase. 

Dr Thurr further informed that registration can be done either online or on the site. He requested all eligible children to avail the vaccine. 
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare website, registration is open for those born in 2005, 2006 and 2007 and that Covaxin to be thr only available option. 

It further stated that appointments can be book online or on site (walk-in) or self register through an existing account or by creating a new account.
