The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has relieved its incumbent Finance Secretary from the assigned role. The action came following allegation of vandalism and illicit soliciting of monetary tributes from resto lounges in Dimapur against the top Naga student body’s Finance Secretary, Katho P Awomi by the President of the Dimapur Restaurant Union, Tito Yepthomi. The allegation was accompanied by a police complaint, which was registered on July 2.
NSF President Mteisuding Heraang made the announcement on July 3 in Kohima. Heraang told The Morung Express that Awomi has been “exempted” from his assigned role and responsibilities till the matter regarding his actions are settled. He called for patience until they get a concrete report of the alleged actions.
