
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The State of Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh will be directly connected by train service with the extension of the Donyi Polo Express till Shokhuvi Station from August 26. The Donyi Polo Express currently runs daily between Guwahati and Naharlagun, located few kilometres way from Arunachal’s capital Itanagar. With the extension of the service to Shokhuvi, located few kilometres away from Dimapur, the direct link will be established. As per information provided by the Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR), the inaugural run from Shokhuvi will be flagged off by Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio at 11:00 AM. The regular service will start from August 27 and the train will depart daily from Shokhuvi at 6:45 am.
