Nagaland bags eight medals at 1st Sikkim Open Internat’l Taekwondo C’ship

14 member delegation of the NTA along with head coach and team manager during the 1st Sikkim Open International Taekwondo Championship held at Palzor Stadium in Gangtok, Sikkim on June 8.

Dimapur, June 10 (MExN): A 14-member contingent of the Nagaland Taekwondo Association (NTA) won eight medals at the 1st Sikkim Open International Taekwondo Championship held at Palzor Stadium in Gangtok, Sikkim, from June 6 to 8.

The Nagaland team secured a total of three gold, three silver and two bronze medals in the championship.

The gold medallists were Bovito Chophy, Lika Aye and Yanpothung Ezung.

The silver medals were won by Victor Tep Rengma, Rhonbeni Lotha and Alem Aier.

The bronze medallists were Solan C Ngullie and Mhonbeni T Humtsoe.

The Nagaland contingent was led by team coach Santsuthung Ngullie, while Ram Bahadur served as the team manager during the championship.
