Kohima, July 30 (MExN): Nagaland State Level Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) launched Jaano Khelo Jeeto (Learn Play Win) a board game created and designed by ARZ (Anyay Rahit Zindagi) an NGO based in Goa, working on the issue of sexual violence.

The board game was launched by Sarah Ritse, Commissioner and Secretary, Social Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland at Kohima on July 30.

A press release issued by State Resource Centre for Women (SRCW), Nagaland stated that Jaano Khelo Jeeto is a game to build awareness and knowledge. The issues covered in the board game include – Child sexual abuse, child labour, child rights, human trafficking and migration. To make the game interesting, Jaano Khelo Jeeto includes information relating to general knowledge about India. The board game has been introduced in different parts of India and has been successful in reaching out to different target groups.

Anyay Rahit Zindagi has been associated with conducting training and awareness on human trafficking in Nagaland in the past years in collaboration with the SRCW under Social Welfare Department.

With the pandemic, more women and children are left vulnerable to sexual abuse. It has also limited awareness on gender based violence to social media and so with this association with ARZ the department hopes to reach more target groups. A virtual training of the game with Anyay Rahit Zindagi, Goa will be conducted for functionaries dealing with Sexual abuse under the department.
