
Two arrested with drugs Kohima, September 3 (MExN): Kohima Police personnel manning the Peducha check gate have recovered 16,100 capsules of banned Spasmo Proxyvon drug and 1,000 tablets of Nitrosun worth Rs. 1,71,000 from the possession of two persons in a Manipur bound passenger bus. A press release from Atu Zumvü, SDPO (South) & PRO, Kohima Police identified the two persons as Md. Amir Khan (32) and Md. Amin Khan (33). They were taken into police custody for possession and transportation of the banned drugs. A regular case vide Sechü(Zubza) P.S Case No. 0023/2016 U/S 13 (b) DC Act was registered against the arrested accused and they were remanded into judicial custody, the release added. AR apprehend NSCN (K) cadre Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): 32 Assam Rifles apprehended one NSCN (K) Captain in an operation carried out at Burma Camp, Dimapur. The cadre, identified as Toishe Sema (26), admitted to his involvement in illegal extortion in Dimapur on behalf of the NSCN (K), stated a press release from Assam Rifles. The troops also recovered cash receipt and “incriminating documents” related to extortion from him, it added. Toishe was handed over to East Police station for further interrogation. ENCSU denounces SRF Kohima, September 3 (MExN): Eastern Nagaland College Students ' Union (ENCSU) has expressed support to the ‘Shopilak Declaration’ of the Eastern Naga Students' Federation (ENSF). “The so called Sovereign Republic of Freeland (SRF) is an unrecognized organization which is trying to grab the attention of the people with false promises which can't fulfill even one,” stated ENCSU in a press release issued by its Chairman, Longre Chang and Joint Secretary, Nokchem Angth. NPF 7 Peren dissatisfied after visiting govt offices Peren, September 3 (MExN): The NPF of 7 Peren Assembly Constituency (A/C) has expressed dissatisfaction with the functioning of some government offices under its jurisdiction. The party visited government offices under 7 Peren A/C from August 29 to 31 and interacted with the officers and staff. The party, according to a press release from NPF 7 Peren A/C President, Manuel Kamson and General Secretary, Gengthau Panmei, observed that the head of the departments concerned were “quite negligent in attending to their duties and entrusting his/her subordinate officers to take care of the office which is very much questionable.” The visiting team warned them of “serious consequences” if they continue with the present functioning, the release said.Meanwhile, it acknowledged that few departments are doing fine and “their awareness for public benefits and redressing their grievances is quite laudable.” Informing that few offices could not be visited this time, it said the party will visit the left out offices in the second and third visits within September. IVR informs PHH beneficiaries Dimapur, September 3 (MExN): The Industrial Village Razhuphe (IVR) has informed all the beneficiaries of PHH ration card holders to submit a photocopy of Aadhaar card/ EPIC card/ Bank pass book/ Gas card or any other Government issued identity card to the village council and collect their ration card.
