Nagaland Bye-Election: MCC in force throughout Tuensang dist

Tuensang, September 29 (MExN): With the announcement of the bye-election to the vacant 58 Shamator-Chessore Assembly Constituency by the Election Commission of India, the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant has informed that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) “comes into force with immediate effect throughout Tuensang District.” 

The political parties, intending candidates, Government departments and establishments, as well as general public have been informed to take note of the same and adhere strictly to the Model Code of Conduct, a DIPR report said, citing a press release issued by DC Ramnikant. 

It further urged all concerned to extend cooperation to the District Election machinery to ensure peaceful conduct of the said bye-election.
