Dimapur, March 10 (MExN): Chief Information Commissioner, Nagaland, I Meyionen Jamir along with the two State Information Commissioners, Nosazol Charles, and T Kekongchim Yimkhiung made a courtesy call on the Governor at Raj Bhavan, Kohima on Friday.
During the meeting, the Commissioners congratulated the Governor on his recent appointment and shared the working system and functioning of the Commission and the effective implementation of the RTI Act in the State. Without going into details, the DIPR report stated that “The issue of misuse of the RTI Act both by the information seekers, as well as Public Authorities, was discussed.”
The Governor is said to have assured to extend his help both in the State and even at the Centre to strengthen the Act. Grievances faced by the Commission were also highlighted to the Governor in the meeting, the DIPR report stated.
