Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today inaugurated five major projects -Piphema Old Village Traditional gate, Children's Park, Farmers' Market, Primary Health Centre and Cultural Hall at Piphema under Chümoukedima district.

Addressing the gathering, Rio said that five major projects, which came into reality today, have been possible because of the prevailing peace and unity among the villagers of Piphema. Peace and unity brings all round development, he said.

He said that the government earmarks fund for development, but the developmental activities fail to achieve the desired level when there is no unity and peace among the community. In this, Rio called upon the people of Nagaland to maintain peace and unity for all round development.

He also called upon the people to avail the Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme which was launched recently.

Under the scheme, the people of the state will have an assurance of better access to healthcare services. He also appealed to the people to enroll themselves on online enrollment portal.

Zhaleo Rio, Advisor Sericulture, Excise and Minority Affairs, Government of Nagaland, also delivered short speech. The formal function was held at the Cultural Hall, Piphema organised by Piphema Khenu Krüta Krotho. Introductory remark was given by Y Kikheto Sema, Agriculture Production Commissioner, Nagaland.

Earlier, during the traditional gate inauguration, the function was led by Kughaho Achumi, M& E Expert, Nagaland Forest Management Project, Divisional Management Unit, Dimapur.

Farmers’ Market & Children's Park inauguration was led by Kevin Solo, SDAO. The inauguration of Primary Health Centre was led by Dr Imotemjen, CMO Dimapur. The formal programme was chaired by Kenilo Apon, secretary tribal affairs, Nagaland while vote of thanks was proposed by Zhato Kimho, advisor PKKK.

Nagaland Technical Education and Elections, Advisor, Medo Yhokha, youth resources and sports Advisor Er Zale Neikha and MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro also present on the occasion.
