KOHIMA, MAY 7 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Dr Neiphiu Rio has expressed strong support for the Government of India’s action against terrorism, backing the objectives of Operation Sindoor.
He also extended his best wishes to all those working towards the peace and security of the country.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), he stated, “We stand with the Government of India in its decisive action against terrorism and support the objectives of Operation Sindoor. “We firmly oppose terrorism in all its forms and extend our prayers and best wishes to all those working for peace and security of the country.”
CM Rio's endorsement came after the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor, destroying nine infrastructure sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in a "measured and non-escalatory" missile and drone strike early Wednesday, in retaliation for Pahalgam attack on April 22.
