Dimapur, June 15 (MExN): Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) extended its congratulations to Imlionen Longkumer, Temsumenba Imsong and K Imlitemjen Jamir, Congress candidates of Ward 5 (Tuliyong Ward), Ward 6 (Mendenti Ward) and Ward 8 (Longpong Ward) respectively, for having been declared elected unopposed to the Tuli Town Council.
“We are thankful beyond words to the electorate of Tuli Town for reposing their trust on our party candidates, especially so when it's coming right on the heels of their massive mandate in favour of our party during the recently held Lok Sabha Polls in April,” a press release from the NPCC stated.
Further, the NPCC welcomed the vote of confidence and “anticipate many more such victories throughout the State during the upcoming Urban Local Body Elections.”
The NPCC wished the winning councillor-elect successful terms in public service and to their “many positive changes that they will affect in their wards and town in the coming days.”
