Nagaland’s COVID-19 caseload rose to 7,416 on Wednesday with the addition of 53 new cases, Health and Family Welfare Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.
Kohima recorded 25 new cases, followed by Mon at 14 and Dimapur at 10, Peren at two, while Tuensang and Zunheboto recorded one case each. Altogether 85 patients were cured of the disease on Wednesday, of which 80 were from Kohima while three were from Dimapur and two from Peren, the Minister said in a tweet.
This takes the total number of recoveries in the state to 5,855.
According to the daily bulletin issued by the health department’s Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme, the state now has 1,473 active cases of which 1,420 are asymptomatic, 39 are mild, 10 are moderate on oxygen, one severe on oxygen, one in ‘critical-ICU’ with oxygen and two are on ventilator.
As per the IDSP, three more deaths were added to the state’s official tally of COVID-19 deaths which is at 17, while five other deaths are under investigation. Another five deaths were COVID positive but ‘not COVID related.’ 61 cases have migrated from the state.
