• Results of 13 samples awaited
• 6836 applicants provided financial assistance
KOHIMA, APRIL 29 (MExN): A total of 644 samples have been sent for testing from the State out which results of 13 samples are awaited. Results of 631 samples have been received and all have been tested as negative, as of April 29. A total of 1575 persons have been screened and a total of 37 persons are under Facility Quarantine in the state according to the daily update from Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha.
More hospitals empanelled
Sinha informed that KOHIMAS and Gynae Institute of Virility and Fertility have been identified for treatment of non-COVID patients referred from COVID Hospital NHAK for hospitalization and will be empanelled under AB-PMJAY to provide benefits as per guidelines to the beneficiaries. Other hospitals that have already been empanelled under AB-PMJAY in Kohima are Oking Hospital, K.P Bethesda Hospital, Putounuo Nursing Home and Bethel Medical Center.
In Dimapur, CIHSR, Eden Medical Centre, Zion Hospital & Research Center, Nikos Hospital & Research Center and Nagaland Multispeciality Health & Research Centre have been empanelled in addition to Lenjem Hospital in Mokokchung and Polyclinic in Tuensang. He also informed that in Longleng, arrangements have been made in Nyenching Government High School for delivering health care services. In the rest of the districts with existing private hospitals, he said that empanelment is under process.
Assistance for stranded citizens
With regard to assistance in the form of cash grant to any person from Nagaland stranded or in distress outside the state, Sinha said that a total of 6836 applicants have been provided assistance by transferring the amounts to their bank accounts.
Further, Sinha reminded citizens that all the activities that have been permitted are to be carried out with strict adherence to all the social distancing practices. Everyone should wear face masks in the public places, and spitting in public spaces should be completely avoided, he said, adding that all the work places and establishments should also make arrangements for regularly sanitizing their places.
