DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 21 (MExN): A team from Nagaland will be participating in one of the toughest and biggest cycling race in North East India- the Tawang Festival Mountain Bike Race. Team Nagaland comprises of Alemba Thongliu Tikhir, Kevilebo Zhotso and Kezevito Viswentso
The race will kick off from Guwahati on Monday and the participants will be cycling for 6 days at an altitude of 14,000 ft through a grueling 475 kilometers of rugged terrain across the mountains of Arunachal Pradesh. The race will conclude at Tawang Festival where the Government of Arunachal Pradesh will host the cyclists from all corners of the country.
The Nagaland Cycling Community has raised an amount of Rs 12,400 through contributions from members to support the athletes. The Tawang MTB Race is organized by the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Arunachal Pradesh in collaboration with Tawang Festival.
