Nagaland Dance Fiesta will be organizing its 4th edition of Dance competition billed as “Nagaland Dance-Off” on January 22 at RCEMPA, Jotsoma from 4:00 PM onwards.

Dancers were online auditioned from all over Northeast last year and grand finale has been scheduled on January 22.

The event will showcase 2 categories of Dance Competition; Open Dance Competition (Solo/Group) and Mini -Battle (1 VS 1 Open Style Battle).

The event will also witness special performances from Beatbox by Black-Tea, dance by Fyer Flys and a song by Arshilu Ozukum. The host of the event will be Vikuonuo Sachu, former Miss Nagaland.

The judges of the Open Dance competition will be Shang Chiu (dance instructor from Dimapur), Akehoto Yeptho from Kohima (Choreographer of Ethnic Future, The Legacy Nagaland, Elemenz Crew).

Mini-Battle will be judged by Abi from Dimapur.

Abi won numerous dance battles as well as Kohima Spring Jam last year.

The entry ticket for audience has been fixed at Rs.100 per person.

The organizer informed that keeping the COVID appropriate protocols there is restrictions in the number of audience, for which, limited ticket is available.

The same have been made available at Big Bite Kohima and can be purchased online via UPI payment.

“There won’t be any ticket available on spot and all the audience are mandatory to wear mask including the participants, volunteers and the organizers,” the organizer informed.

Bus service will be made available both to and fro for audience with a fare of Rs 30 per head.

Winner of the competition will walk away with cash prizes worth Rs 50,000, certificates, gift hampers, trophy and video contract.

The main objective of organizing this event is to spread the awareness and importance of dance in our land, the organizer stated.

Dance is not just for entertainment but it is an art of expression and a way to stay healthy- mentally and physically, it stated.
