Following the announcement of the NDPP official candidates for the upcoming general elections to the NLA on February 4, a corrigendum was made this morning for 35Aghunato Assembly Constituency.
This corrigendum issued by the party president, Chingwang Konyak stated that “the official candidate for the 34 Aghunato A/C is Ikuto Zhimomi, and not as rendered.”
This created confusions and debate.
However, Party President and Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio today clarified that Pukhayi Sumi had volunteered on health grounds.
The clarification was made at the NDPP ticket ceremony cum campaign launch on February 3 at Capital Cultural Hall, Kohima.
