DC & DEO Kohima directs HoDs 

Kohima, January 28 (MExN): In view of the ensuing General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023, DC & DEO Kohima, Shanavas C IAS has directed all the heads of offices under Kohima District to remain in station till the election process is over. Further, it was stated that no leave should be granted to the subordinate officers/staff who have already been requisitioned/drafted for election duty without proper consultation with Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Kohima.

District Contact Centre set up at Kohima

Kohima, January 28 (MExN): In connection with the ensuing General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2023, a District Contact Centre with toll-free number 1950 and 24X7 Control Room has been set up at the Office of the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Kohima.

DC & DEO Mkg notifies on election training schedules

Mokokchung, January 28 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Mokokchung, Shashank Pratap Singh, IAS has notified all Government employees under Mokokchung District assigned for election duties as Presiding Officer, 1st Polling Officer, 2nd Polling Officer, 3rd Polling Officer and Grade IV staffs in connection to the conduct of the ensuing General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 that the 1st Round of training will be held on 2nd and 3rd February 2023. The 2nd Round of training will be held on February 14 and 15, Final Round of the training on February 21 and 22. All Head of the Department/Offices under Mokokchung District have been directed to depute all the listed officials under their respective establishment to attend the training positively. Any Government employee failing to attend the Election training/duties shall be prosecuted under the Election law.

Sector magistrate training held in Kiphire

Kiphire, January 28 (MExN): In connection with the forthcoming election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, training for the sector magistrates was organized in Kiphire at the DC's Conference Hall on January 27, presided over by Extra Assistant Commissioner H.Q Ane Khieya NCS.
The training was imparted by Master Trainer, I Temjen Ozukum, Assistant Professor ZPC Kiphire and Hotingkyu Sangtam. I Temjen imparted training on the theoretical part, covering the topics on the preparation of sector maps, vulnerability mappings, pre-poll responsibility, poll day, and poll eve responsibilities. While Hotingkyu taught practical on EVM/ VV Pay and Selila (Facilitator) imparted on the postal ballot.

DC Noklak notifies arms license holders

Noklak, January 28 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer Noklak, K Mhathung Tsanglao in an order stated that, in view of the General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly 2023 and to ensure peaceful atmosphere in Noklak District, it has been informed to all arms license holders under Noklak District to deposit their arms along with license at the nearest Police Station between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM, latest by January 31 (Tuesday).
Failure to do as ordered will invite necessary action against the offender in accordance with the provision of Law. Issue of Arms license and renewal will be banned/suspended till the completion of election process. Further, under Section 144 of the CrPC 1973, carrying of licensed arms is banned till the completion of election process except by those persons who are entitled.
All the Administrative Officers have been directed to oversee that arm licence holders of every types of weapon are deposited in the Police Station.
