Nagaland, January 21 (MExN): The Nagaland Police, since the announcement of the schedule of General Elections to Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2023 by Election Commission of India, has seized a grand total seizure amount of Rs 18,49,73,650.
In its continuous effort to serve better, the Nagaland Police through a press release stated that it has been conducting raids, searches and seizures all across the State in order to ensure free and fair elections by maintaining law and order.
It said that this week alone, the Police Department has seized the following:
• IMFL –Rs 21, 25,725
• Narcotics – Rs 3,43,53,025
• Other contraband –Rs 14,84,14,000
• Arms and ammunition – Rs 50,900
• Other seizures – Rs 30,000
Meanwhile, the Department has sought for public cooperation and support during this period for implementation of the Model Code of Conduct.
