Mon | November 8

A fire broke out in Wakching village, Mon district on Sunday, completely razing three houses and damaging five other houses. No casualties were reported.

The incident occurred at around 10:30 am when most of the villagers were attending the Sunday church service.

As per ground reports, property worth Rs 30 lakh, including cash amounting to Rs 3 lakh were razed.

The fire was reportedly doused by the villagers.

Electrical short circuit was suspected to have caused the fire.
