Dimapur, November 6 (MExN): Nagaland Governor PB Acharya, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and others organizations as well as individual today extended Deepawali greetings to the people of the State on the joyous occasion of Diwali.
“Let us light the lamps of compassion, love and righteousness. Let us resolve to fight against illiteracy, inequality, poverty, discrimination and malice and let us promote universal peace and brotherhood in the society,” the Governor and his lady wife Kavita Acharya conveyed in a message.
The Governor also appealed all for a pollution-free Diwali celebration.
Meanwhile, the state Chief Minister took to Twitter to extend his greetings.
“May the festival of lights bring goodness, happiness, good health and prosperity,” Rio greeted on a tweet.
Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party: Nagaland Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Temjen Imna Along and BJP leader & Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton along with all the BJP legislators has conveyed warmest greetings on the occasion of Diwali. “As Diwali symbolizes the spiritual victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance, may the supreme light illuminate and enlighten everyone’s hearts, bring cheers to every home and strengthen bonds among all communities,” a greeting note from BJP Media Cell Nagaland stated.
Advisor Tovihoto Ayemi: Advisor Power, Govt of Nagaland Tovihoto Ayemi has also extended Diwali greetings and conveyed that “this festival light up the hearts of the downtrodden and spread happiness to one and all. While celebrating this festival of lights, let us be sensitive to the pains of our mother nature and take care of our environment.”
NPF Minority Wing Central: President NPF Minority Wing Central, Bishnu Bhattacharjee also wished the people of Nagaland a very happy Diwali and hoped that the celebrations will promote peace, prosperity and social harmony amongst all sections of the people in the state. He also appealed to all to celebrate these festivals of light and joy in the spirit of love, truth and brotherhood.
BJP Dimapur District: BJP Dimapur District has extended greetings to all the people of the state on the occasion of Diwali. “Let this auspicious festival of lights brighten the lives of all the people and bring good health, peace, happiness, prosperity and social harmony,” a greeting note from BJP Dimapur District General Secretary Pouhiamlung Gangmei said.
Dimapur Bangali Samaj: Dimapur Bangali Samaj President has extended greetings and said “May Maa Kali remove whatever is negative in the world and may the festival of lights symbolizing the victory of good bring peace, prosperity and happiness in the life of one and all.”
