Commissioning of Rotary Drilling at SEWAK, Dimapur
Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): The Groundwater Cell under the Department of Geology and Mining, Government of Nagaland has successfully commissioned a truck mounted Drilling Rig, DTHR-200, which is capable of performing both Rotary Drilling in valley areas and DTH Drilling in hilly areas upto a depth of 200m.
Rotary drilling was successfully performed at SEWAK, Dimapur under deposit work, stated a press release received here.
Another water tube-well was successfully constructed and developed using DTH drilling, which was handed over to Government Higher Secondary School, Wokha, for the welfare of the student community under Exploration Programme.
The Department has acknowledged the Government of Nagaland for the invaluable support and approval in the procurement of the drilling rig.
