KOHIMA, DECEMBER 19 (MExN): To facilitate the efficient development of National Highway projects in the State, Nagaland Government has notified that henceforth Land Compensation and Damage Compensation will be provided to individual/community landowners for the construction of all National Highway Roads declared by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) in the State. This notification extends to the acquisition of land required for the construction of National Highway projects and additional land/Right of Way (RoW) necessary for development beyond the existing road in the present National Highways, a DIPR report informed while adding that the notification will be effective immediately.
