Nagaland Governor Anand Kishore Yadav called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on March 24.
Dimapur, March 24 (MExN): Nagaland Governor Anand Kishore Yadav on Tuesday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in Delhi.
“After being appointed as the Governor of Nagaland state, today I paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a proud welcome with the traditional Naga shawl of Nagaland,” the newly appointed Governor of Nagaland posted on his X on March 24.
The Governor also paid a courtesy call on the Union Home Minister of India Amit Shah, who was “welcomed in accordance with Naga tradition.”
Yadav further paid courtesy visits to the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla.
“This was his first courtesy call on the dignitaries following his appointment as the Governor of Nagaland. During the meetings, the Governor conveyed his gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment towards the development, peace and progress of the State,” the PRO, Lok Bhavan added in a statement.
