Nagaland govt convenes meeting with tribal hohos

Agenda: 
•    Mediation between Zeliang and Sumi tribes regarding boundary demarcation 
•    Women reservation in ULBs
•    Naga Tribunals for adjudication as per Naga Customary Law
•    Issue of appointment of Gaon Buras in urban areas

Kohima, August 12 (MExN): In pursuance of the decision of the Cabinet in its meeting on August 10, a meeting with the Tribal Hohos is being convened on August 18 (Wednesday) at 10:30 am for holding consultations on the following subjects: mediation between Zeliang and Sumi tribes regarding boundary demarcation of Peren and Dimapur districts; Women reservation in ULBs; Naga Tribunals for adjudication as per Naga Customary Law; and Issue of appointment of Gaon Buras (GBs) in urban areas 

The Nagaland Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Speaker NLA, Ministers and Advisors, along with the Chief Secretary and other senior officials will be present in the meeting, stated a DIPR report. The meeting will be held the State Banquet Hall, Kohima, Chief Minister's Residential Complex, Kohima.

The presidents of the following organizations along with two representatives have been requested to attend the meeting: Angami Public Organization, Kohima; Ao Senden, Mokokchung; Chakhesang Public Organization, Phek; Chang Khulei Setsang, Tuensang; Konyak Union, Mon; Khiamniungan Tribal Council, Noklak; Lotha Hoho, Wokha; Phom People Council, Longleng; Pochury Hoho, Meluri; Rengma Hoho, Tseminyu; Sumi Hoho, Zunheboto; United Sangtam Likhurn Pumji, Kiphire; Yimchunger Tribal Council, Shamator; and Zeliang Peoples Organization, Peren.
