Government of Nagaland handed over compensation to family of late Jiten Gogoi (truck driver) of Demaji, Assam.
Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): A programme was held at the premises of KK Agency tower, Khatkhati under the banner of Joint Coordination Committee Assam, Nagaland on October 3 for handing over the compensation amount received from Government of Nagaland to the family of late Jiten Gogoi (truck driver) of Demaji, Assam who was shot death by unknown miscreants in Dimapur on September 22, 2020.
A press release issued by the Dimapur District Truck Owner’s Association stated that along with the compensation received from Government of Nagaland, the KK Agency Khatkhati, Dimapur District Truck Owners Association, Dimapur Truck Drivers Union and Khatkhati Transporters also handed over donation to the family members in the presence of SDO (CIVIL) Bokajan, OC Khatkhati P.S., Bokajan Truck Owners Association and all office bearers of the Joint Coordination Committee.
In the brief programme, the committee thanked the Government of Nagaland for releasing the compensation amount to the deceased truck driver’s family as promised.
