Kohima, August 21 (MExN): The Directorate of Food Processing, Government of Nagaland, has invited proposals from prospective entrepreneurs belonging to the General, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and North Eastern Region (NER) categories for setting up multiproduct food irradiation units under the “Integrated Cold Chain & Value Addition Infrastructure (Cold Chain Scheme) - Support to Setting up of Multiproduct Food Irradiation Units” component of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY).
The proposal invitation is in accordance with the scheme guidelines dated August 6, 2024, issued by the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI).
Under the scheme, financial support is provided for multiproduct irradiation units at 35 per cent of the project cost for the General category and 50 per cent for difficult areas, SC/ST, Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) and Self Help Groups (SHGs), subject to a ceiling of Rs 10 crore for individual FPOs/FPCs/SHGs/NGOs/PSUs/firms/companies/government bodies.
Eligible entities are required to submit their proposals online under the “Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana” through the designated portal.
No physical submission of proposals or applications through any other means will be accepted, the Directorate said.
The last date for submission of applications is 5 pm on August 31, 2026.
