
Kohima, December 17 (MExN): The State of Nagaland joined the rest of the country in mourning the demise of Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait, on December 16. As a mark of respect to the departed Amir, the Government of India has declared a one-day state mourning on December 17 throughout India.
Accordingly, the National Flag was flown at half-mast throughout India on all buildings where it is flown regularly, and there was no official entertainment on Sunday. Following a government order from the Principal Secretary & Home Commissioner Abhijit Sinha, the State of Nagaland also observed the state mourning, informed a DIPR report.
