Athletes compete during the Nagaland Junior Athletics Championships 2025 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima on September 10.

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 12 (MExN): The Nagaland Athletics Association has informed that the 2nd Nagaland Junior Athletics Championships 2025 was conducted on September 10 at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
According to the Association, the competition was organized to identify young talents in the state and to select athletes with promising performance to represent Nagaland in the forthcoming 36th East Zone Junior Athletics Championships 2025 scheduled to be held at Ranchi, Jharkhand.
A total of 92 athletes from the districts of Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Mon and Noklak participated in the championships. The competition was organized for boys and girls in the age categories of Under-14, Under-16 and Under-18 years.
In the Under-14 Years Boys Triathlon A, the first position went to Lanutemjen Kichu of Mokokchung with 1341 points, the second to Mughakupu H of Dimapur with 1240 points, and the third to Arenlong Tzudir of Mokokchung with 1084 points.
In Triathlon B, Ilopu K Khujumi of Dimapur secured the first position with 1827 points, Aneizo Meru of Kohima came second with 1815 points, and Lanuonen Jamir of Mokokchung third with 1605 points.

In Triathlon C, Lemma of Dimapur stood first with 1520 points, Thanghiu P of Noklak second with 1412 points, and Imliwar Jamir of Mokokchung third with 1237 points.
In the Under-14 Years Girls Triathlon B, Anon M Konyak of Dimapur took the first position with 1858 points, Neisavono Nagi of Kohima second with 1444 points, and Sungjemyongla Jamir of Mokokchung third with 1315 points.
In the Under-16 Years Boys 60m, Imlinungba of Mokokchung finished first with 7.5 seconds, Diezevi of Kohima second with 7.7 seconds, and Kinoto K Zhimomi of Dimapur third with 7.7 seconds.
In the 600m, Alemwati Longchar of Dimapur secured the first position with 1:34.2 seconds, Imjungsunep Pongen of Mokokchung second with 1:36.3 seconds, and Pongom T of Noklak third with 1:38.8 seconds.
In the High Jump, Nchelo of Kohima was first with 1.60m, Mhasinguto of Kohima second with 1.54m, and Khule P of Noklak third with 1.50m.
In the Long Jump, Moalong Jamir of Dimapur took first with 4.20m, Neikeduoile of Kohima second with 4.09m, and Mengukhriezo of Kohima third with 3.99m.
In the Shot Put, Dzieseneizo of Kohima stood first with 9.65m, Kekhrieselhous of Dimapur second with 9.65m, and Muhpa Konyak of Mon third with 8.56m.
In the Under-16 Years Girls 60m, Neshe Maongyu Konyak of Dimapur was first with 8.4 seconds, Apoang N of Dimapur second with 9.0 seconds, and Meyijung T Jamir of Mokokchung third with 9.5 seconds.
In the 600m, Supei S of Dimapur finished first with 1:56.8 seconds, Meyijung T Jamir of Mokokchung second with 2:16.2 seconds, and Ketoubii Semo of Kohima third with 2:30.2 seconds.
In the Under-18 Years Boys 100m, Avizha Zalie of Kohima was first with 11.4 seconds, Hubert Yanthan of Dimapur second with 11.6 seconds, and Thengem L of Noklak third with 11.6 seconds.
In the 200m, Avizha Zhalie of Kohima took first with 23.9 seconds, Hubert Yanthan of Dimapur second with 25.0 seconds, and Thangmeng K of Noklak third with 25.9 seconds.
In the 400m, Thangmeng K of Noklak finished first with 57.7 seconds, Medophretuo of Kohima second with 59.4 seconds, and Shing P of Noklak third with 59.8 seconds.
In the 1000m, Sullim of Noklak stood first with 3:04.7 seconds, Apoujan of Kohima second with 3:06.4 seconds, and Shing P of Noklak third with 3:07.2 seconds.
In the Long Jump, Thengem L of Noklak secured first with 5.66m, Apoujan of Kohima second with 5.53m, and Megongulie of Kohima third with 5.30m.
In the Shot Put, Kelenguzo Dziivich of Kohima took first with 11.06m, Sentionen Jamir of Mokokchung second with 9.53m, and Shemwang Konyak of Mon third with 8.55m.
In the Under-18 Years Girls 100m, Merin Beck of Dimapur was first with 14.3 seconds, Imnasenla of Mokokchung second with 15.8 seconds, and Zevokhrienuo Rutsa of Kohima third with 16.5 seconds.
In the 200m, Merin Beck of Dimapur secured first with 29.9 seconds, Imnasenla of Mokokchung second with 32.0 seconds, and Zevokhrienuorutsa of Kohima third with 32.0 seconds
