Nagaland: Landslides & monsoon-related incidents across the state

Landslides in Mokokchung:

Due to incessant rain at Mokokchung for the last few days, mud slides and minor landslides occurred in different locations in the town. On July 30, heavy downpour was witnessed from late evening till past midnight. On July 31, a building where the family of Zulutemla resides was badly damaged due to landslide at around 2:00 am at Artang Ward; however, there were no casualties. Due to the heavy downpour of monsoon,  more than 40% of the total paddy fields were destroyed by the fury of Langake river at Y Anner Villlage, a village under  Chessore Block in Tuensang district. A press release from the Y.Anner village Council Chairman, N.Rikhum has earnestly requested the concerned authority to kindly take up the situation seriously and do needful to the poor farmers who are depending only for the paddy harvest.
  National Highway -29:

  Flash flood Dimapur:   
Several areas in Dimapur were inundated after the heavy monsoon rain that lashed the city on July 31.
